Xi Jinping attended the 90th anniversary commemoration event for the victory of the Long March and delivered a speech at the Great Hall of the People on October 22, 2026.

In the speech, Xi Jinping required strict enforcement of Party discipline, maintenance of the centralized unified leadership of the central authorities, and also put forward requirements to guarantee economic stability and national resilience.

Xi Jinping additionally stated that the left-wing dogmatist leadership within the Party during the early period of the Long March had caused severe losses to the Communist Party of China and the Red Army.
